UTA & Curtis Brown Sign Elizabeth Day

Elizabeth Day has signed with UTA and Curtis Brown.

The creator of the acclaimed How to Fail podcast will be represented across publishing, factual entertainment, media rights, TV and film, and creators. Day will continue to be represented globally across brand deals, corporate events and for live touring by the Fane Group.

The agencies said they will “support Day as she expands her global profile and continues to build a multi-platform career spanning literature, broadcasting and digitally as part of UTA’s rapidly expanding UK Creator division.” UTA has owned Curtis Brown since 2022. While it is relatively uncommon for the pair to co-sign talent, the practice has become more commonplace with a push into the publishing and content creator space, including the recent signing of Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo.

Day is behind How to Fail, a hit pod that has featured guests including Kate Winslet, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Salman Rushdie, Stanley Tucci and Monica Lewinsky.

She has written five novels and four non-fiction books. Deadline revealed earlier this month that one of them, The Party, is being made into an ITV drama series starring Luke Evans from the producer behind Line of Duty. Her next book, One of Us, will be published in North America in February 2026 with Viking, as part of a two-book deal brokered by UTA Publishing.

Day continues to perform at live tours with the Fane Group. Through her company, Daylight Productions, she seeks to elevate female and diverse voices in podcasting and media.
