Why Nick Jonas Wanted Daughter Malti and Wife Priyanka in His New Movie
Nick Jonas is a sucker for family time.
Indeed, it’s why having his wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas and their 3-year-old daughter Malti Marie star alongside him and brothers Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas in A Very Jonas Christmas Movie added some extra cheer to the set.
“We’re playing ourselves,” Nick told E! News at the movie’s premiere in NYC on Nov. 10. “So, casting other people to be our family would not have been believable or worked. And it was just great to have them there and set the whole tone for the whole project.”
“This film for us is obviously exaggerated and heighted versions of ourselves,” he added. “But there’s a lot of truth in there.”
A Very Jonas Christmas Movie sees Nick, Joe and Kevin in a race against time as they try to make it back home from their final tour stop in London to be with their families on the East Coast for the holidays—despite a few travel mishaps and brotherly spats along the way.
