Wynonna Judd’s Pregnant Daughter Grace Kelley Denied Temporary Release From Jail to Give Birth

Grace Kelley will remain behind bars for her delivery.

While the 30-year-old daughter of Wynonna Judd filed a request to be temporarily released from prison to give birth to her second child, the request was denied by a judge in July, according to court documents obtained by E! News Aug. 27.

Kelley is currently serving a 15-month sentence in Virginia’s Rockingham County Jail after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended or revoked license following her October 2025 arrest.

The July 2 filing made on Kelley’s behalf revealed she was pregnant and due to give birth “on or about Aug. 16, 2026.” Her lawyer Robert G. Munro asked that she be released from prison while she gives birth in a hospital, where she would “be confined to bed” for three days following the birth.

Munro argued that keeping Kelley incarcerated during this time would “complicate the delivery of the child,” prevent the father of the baby (who was not identified) as well as other family members from being present or visiting Kelley and would require “a significant investment of time and resources” from the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office to guard her while in hospital.
