Yoav Gross Productions Hires Ariel Weisbrod As Head Of Content
EXCLUSIVE: The exec producer behind Emmy-winning October 7 doc We Will Dance Again has joined Israel‘s Yoav Gross Productions (YGP) as VP of Content & Partnerships.
Ariel Weisbrod has joined the Red Skies maker as part of a “broader push to expand its international activity,” according to the indie. He will oversee content and development while leading international co-productions and partnerships. He takes the place of Osher Assouline, who now leads content for YGP’s microdrama app, which we profiled here.
Weisbrod joins after six years at Bad Boy producer Sipur Studios, where he was a content lead. He oversaw a slate including Bad Boy, which sold to Netflix, and We Will Dance Again, about the attack on October 7 at the Nova Music Festival. Earlier this year, former Legendary Entertainment literary boss Deborah Kaufmann joined Sipur to run content.
YGP makes the likes of Apple TV’s Red Skies and Yes’ On Standby. Its microdrama app, AppReel, has projects including Survivors of the Heart and The Cinderella Trials. Deadline named it one of the new wave of vertical video creators at the start of this year.
YGP’s founder Yoav Gross said: “Ariel brings a wealth of experience, strong creative instincts and deep relationships across the international industry. His appointment is an important part of the next stage of growth for Yoav Gross Productions, and I’m very happy to have him on board.”
