Kaia Gerber denies resemblance to mom Cindy Crawford after lookalike red carpet appearance
Kaia Garber doesn’t think she resembles her “beautiful” mom, Cindy Crawford.
“In all seriousness, it’s an honor when people tell me I look like my mom,” the 24-year-old actress and model said in a new interview with Yahoo! Entertainment.
Gerber added, “I wish I did. I think even on my best days, I’m not even close.”
However, Gerber gushed how it “means so much” to her that she’s compared to Crawford, 60.
“I think she’s just the most beautiful woman inside and out,” Gerber said of her mom. “And so if there’s any way that I remind anyone of her, it’s just, like, the largest compliment.”
Fans disagreed with Gerber in comments section of a TikTok clip of the interview.
“She clearly resembles her mom, only jealous people say otherwise,” one fan wrote.
‘She’s Cindy’s twin,” another fan said.
Someone else insisted Gerber is “the spitting image” of Crawford.
“Girl, you look exactly like her. Crazy she can’t see it,” a different user wrote.
Another person chimed in, “She looks more like her mom than her mom looks like her mom.”
Despite dismissing the resemblance to Crawford, Gerber looked like her mom’s spitting image just last week at “The Shards” rep carpet premiere in New York City.
Gerber wore a floor-length Valentino column gown glittering with beads and crystals to the event.
Her glam, meanwhile, followed Crawford’s ’90s formula, with bronzed skin, a brown smoky eye, glossy nude lip and a soft blowout.
Gerber, whose dad is businessman Rande Gerber, stars in the Ryan Murphy FX series with Homer Gere, 26, the son of Crawford’s ex-husband, Richard Gere, and Carey Lowell.
Crawford and Richard, 76, tied the knot in 1991 and divorced in 1995 — six years before Gerber was born.
Gerber recently told Entertainment Tonight that her mom — an ’80s icon — gave her advice for starring in the new show, which is set in that decade.
“I remember calling my mom going, ‘There’s no way you were doing your hair like this in high school,’” Gerber said. “And she goes, ‘Oh no, no, no, I was.’”
Crawford told her daughter “they had to have” an over-the-top hairdo back in the ’80s, which was “hard to fathom” for the nepo baby.
“So that was my biggest question, was like, ‘Is this realistic?’ And she was like, ‘Yeah!’ And she showed me photos and she had that exact hair when she was 17,’” Gerber said.
Gerber also confirmed Crawford “loves” everything about the show, including the music and the wardrobe.
