‘Off Campus’ Confirms Dean & Allie As Central Couple For Season 2

It’s official — Off Campus series regulars Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn will take center stage in Season 2 which will spotlight the romantic relationship between their characters Allie Hayes (Abdalla) and Dean Di Laurentis (Kalyn). Prime Video made the announcement with a video, which you can watch below, and photos of the couple.

Off Campus is based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling book series, with Season 1 drawing from the first novel, The Deal, focusing on Hannah (Ella Bright) and Garrett (Cameli). Book #3, The Score chronicles the relatrionship between Dean (Kalyn) and Allie (Abdalla).

The series set up Dean and Allie as Season 2’s central couple by introducing them in Season 1, with their slow burn romance starting to develop. The Season 1 big finale cliffhanger involved their relationship too, kicking it to the next level. Additionally, Off Campus recently cast Philipa Soo to recur in Season 2 as a theatre artist who is guest directing an original play at the college’s drama department where Allie is a student.

Off Campus will likely follow the blueprint, letting a couple get to know each other over the course of a season before giving them their own installment as it will introduce India Fowler as Grace Ivers, the love interest to Antonio Cipriano‘s John Logan, in Season 2. They are the couple of Book #2 The Mistake.

“We are so excited to continue Allie and Dean’s story as our primary romance of season two after kickstarting their romance in season one,” series creator Louisa Levy said. “But if you fell in love with Hannah and Garrett, don’t worry — they will still be an integral part of our robust ensemble. We’re looking forward to telling the next chapter of everyone’s story. There’s a lot for fans to look forward to!”

A college soap based on the bestselling book series, Off Campus follows an elite ice hockey team, and the women in their lives, as they grapple with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery—forging deep friendships and enduring bonds while navigating the complexities that come with transitioning into adulthood.

Series regulars of Off Campus Season 2 include Mika Abdalla (Snack Shack), Stephen Kalyn (Gen V), Ella Bright (The Crown), Belmont Cameli (Until Dawn), Antonio Cipriano (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin), Jalen Thomas Brooks (The Pitt), India Fowler (Fear Street: Prom Queen), with Philipa Soo (Hamilton) set to recur.

Creator Louisa Levy co-showruns and executive produces Off Campus with Gina Fattore. Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen and James Seidman executive produce for Temple Hill. Leanna Billings of Billings Productions and Neal Flaherty also serve as executive producers.

Abdalla, who led Hulu’s comedy Sex Appeal, recently starred in the 2024 indie Snack Shack opposite Gabe LaBelle, and appeared in The Pitt. Kalyn is a Canadian actor best known for his recurring role in Gen V, and has also appeared in projects including Cruel Intentions, Motorheads, and Essex County.

Off Campus, which was renewed for Season 2 in February, ahead of its series premiere, launched May 13, logging 36 million viewers worldwide in the first 12 days of release, including two full weekends, per Amazon. That ranks as Prime Video’s No. 3 most-viewed debut season ever behind Season 1 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and Fallout. Among Women 18-34, Season 1 is Prime Video’s most-viewed series debut season of all-time, per Amazon.
